Barry Olafson, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & CEO
Barry Olafson is the Co-Founder and CEO of ProtaBody. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Dakota, his Ph.D. in chemistry from Caltech, and did postdoctoral work at Harvard University.

Stephen Mayo, Ph.D.
Co-Founder
Stephen L. Mayo, Ph.D. is the Bren Professor of Biology and Chemistry and Merkin Institute Professor at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California.
He has been a member of the Caltech faculty since 1992 and served as Vice Provost for Research from 2007 to 2010 and Chair of the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering from 2010 to 2020.
He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, his Ph.D. in chemistry from Caltech, and did postdoctoral work at both UC Berkeley and Stanford University School of Medicine in chemistry and biochemistry, respectively.

Justin is the Co-Founder & Experimental Protein Engineering Lead at ProtaBody. He received his Ph.D. from Caltech and did postdoctoral work at Stanford University.

Paul Chang, M.Eng
Co-Founder & Computational Lead
Paul is the Co-Founder & Computational Lead at Protabody. He received his undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Master of Engineering degree at Princeton University.

Chief Business Officer
Dylan received his BSc in Chemistry from the University of North Florida and his MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Scientist & Protein Engineer
Taylor is a Scientist & Protein Engineer at ProtaBody. He received his Ph.D. from UC Riverside and did postdoctoral work at City of Hope.

Frederick Lee, Ph.D.
Scientist & Protein Engineer
He received his BA and MSc in
experimental biochemistry from UVM and
USC and studied under Arieh Warshel at
USC for his PhD in computational
chemistry. After postdoctoral trainings at
UCLA and Caltech, he worked at several
pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical
companies before joining ProtaBody. -
Allison Alwan TerBush, Ph.D.
Molecular Biologist
Alison is a Molecular Biologist at ProtaBody. She received her B.S. in Biology from MIT and her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley.
